Avalanche - Safety - Equipment
Our english group has managed to organize another high-quality presentation. Michael Rust - mountain guide and trainer of Pieps - will inform you about the latest "stuff" in avalanche safety equipment.
For the past 15 years, Michael has been guiding ice and rock climbs year-round. He is also an instructor for BSPA in Innsbruck & Linz. During winter he conducts clinics for PIEPS.
The company participates in many important organizations such as the International Commission for Alpine Rescue, International Snow Science Workshops, and many others. Through these affiliations they exchange firsthand knowledge from scientists, medical doctors, rescuers, and many others about the best methods and equipment for rescue situations.
Michael will present not only the PIEPS safety system but his personal experiences from the mountains. If you like to be in the mountains in winter, whether snow shoeing, ski-touring, trekking, or even working, then this presentation is for you.
